Robert J. "Bob" Louderback, 75, of Charleston, former member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, died May 28, 2004, as a result of a tragic motorcycle accident.

Bob was retired from the practice of law, having been a lawyer for more than 50 years.  He was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Honorary, Pi Kappa Alpha social fraternity, West Virginia State Bar Association, Kanawha County Bar Association, West Virginia Defense Trial Lawyer's Association; listed in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. He was a member of Mountain; Assistant Prosecuting Attorney 1959-65. Bob established and served as counsel for the Olga Swain Foundation, benefiting the Charleston Police Department, and had been its chairman until his death.

Bob was passionate and lived life to the fullest. He participated in numerous theatrical productions with Charleston Light Opera Guild and Kanawha Players, as well as church-affiliated Wesley Players. He enjoyed appearing in local television commercials and loved any opportunity to showcase and share his 1928 Packard.
